ABOUT ME So here goes a little "about me" (by the way this part is really hard).

Hi, I'm Ron Bryant (aka DROPDEAD in some circles). I'm not going to do the whole "born and raised hell in...blah blah blah" scenario. It's just not me and really who the hell cares. When it comes down to it, I think your work should speak for itself.

I will say that I've always been "into art" (cars & surfing but that's a different topic) in one way or another: drawing, painting, designing t-shirts & skate boards, etc...that was before I decided that I wanted to learn to tattoo. Strangely enough, my buddy spotted a complete tattoo set at the Santa Cruz Swap Meet (obviously this is years ago) from some guy that was getting out of the business and I snagged it. It had everything I needed to teach myself how to tattoo. So that's what I did, starting with my leg. After I managed to tattoo most of the people that I knew in Santa Cruz, it was time to move on...to Hollywood for a bit & finally Venice for a number of rowdy years. Then, I had myself a good size hiatus from the tattoo world and spent few years chopping down trees...that's a crazy story that you'll have to get to know me for further explanation. Although I still tattoo on occasion, it's all custom work and mostly for close friends at this point.

ABOUT ME As far as leather and silver goes, I got into it seriously in 2003. I had dabbled in it when I was younger (I still have customized leather jacket that I made for myself back in the Santa Cruz days). But when I began working in the "art department" for a custom leather and silver company is when I realized how my background in art, leather and silver worked together to make crazy custom creations. After a couple of years at the company, it was time to move on, take a leap of faith, and do it for myself! Instead of falling back on my tattooing (which would be easy to do), I'm going for it. It's been alot of work starting my own company but at the same time an amazing experience. All my life I have been creating for other people's companies in one way or another, this time it's for me...and I'm loving every second of it.

These are the first items designed and created since I started my company ONE TOO MANY in 2005. Although I have created many other custom wallets, seats, and a few silver rings, it has always been for someone else...living someone else's dream. This is a new beginning for me...this time I get to do it for myself. Creating custom items, whether it is a hand-tooled leather wallet or something with exotic skins and detailed art inlays, I am constantly fascinated by the craft of leather work and the intricacies of silver. As a tattoo artist for many years, I have always been focused on custom pieces derived from the minds of my clients. How to take what someone wants and translate that into an original work of art...not to mention a permanent one. Now I get to focus that energy into my leather and silver. If you are looking for a one of a kind item, then contact me. I will be happy to listen to your ideas or come up with something to surprise you. This is just the beginning...be on the look out for more.
